The Taiwan Night Concert is featuring five exceptional musicians this year: pianist Yi-Yang Chen and Pei-Hsuan Lin, violinist Shu-Ting Yao and Eleanor Shen, and lyric soprano Lu-Hsuan Lucy Chen. A graduate of Juilliard and Eastman, award winning pianist Yi-Yang Chen currently serves as the assistant professor of piano at the University of Kansas. Pei-Hsuan Lin, pianist/coach of the Kennedy Center Opera House, is a graduate of Peabody who currently pursuing doctoral study in collaborative piano at the University of Maryland College Park. Shu-Ting Yao is an active violinist in Washington DC area who obtained graduate degrees from Peabody, Mannes and Catholic University of America. Violinist Eleanor Shen is an alumna of TACSA in 2019 who recently finished her undergrade study at the Juilliard School, where she is continuing her graduate study since last fall. Soprano Lu-Hsuan Lucy Chen was trained at Peabody and UMD. She currently serves as a faculty of voice at Howard Community College.
